2010 BMW 3 Series

The 2010 BMW 3-Series is a current generation car loaded with modern amenities, but it does not come with large modifications, when compared with its previous version.

Trims

These premium midsize cars are produced as convertibles, two-door coupes, as well as wagons and 4-door sedans. The Convertible has a power hard top that is manufactured in rectangular shape.

The 3-Series model has three trims – high-performance M3, top-line 335, and base level 328.

Options vary based on the body style; the base 328i trim is designed with the xDrive all-wheel drive, while the rear-wheel drive train is optional. It churns out power level of 230-horsepower with the help of a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine.

The top-line variant 335i comes with all-wheel drive, and the rear-wheel drive is again optionally available. It develops about 300-horsepower with the turbocharged 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine.

Engine & Transmission

The RWD 335i has a 3.0-liter turbo diesel inline 6-cylinder engine to churn out 265-horsepower. The high-performance M3 variant uses a 4.0-liter V8 engine for rendering 414 horsepower.

All trims in the BMW 3-Series use a gasoline engine matched to a 6-speed manual transmission. On the 335i and 328i trims as well as on the 335d models, the 6-speed automatic transmission is optional.
